About Menos

Menos is a free iPhone weightlifting tracker inside a pixel-art dungeon RPG. You log real sets, weight and reps, a progressive-overload engine picks the weight for your next session, and every exercise is a boss you fight one set at a time. On the App Store it is listed as Menos Gym. It is made by Menos App LLC, a small independent studio in the United States.

What Menos does

Menos is a strength-training app first. You tell it your goal (Strength, Build muscle, Endurance or General fitness), the days you can train (3 to 6), your equipment and any injuries, and it builds a Tailor-Made plan. If you would rather write your own split, Build Your Plan does that.

The progression engine uses double progression. The first session of a big lift ends with an ALL OUT set that calibrates your starting weight. After that, hit the top of the rep range on every set and the weight goes up next time; land inside the range and you hold; miss and you repeat. A second miss in a row deloads about 10%. Plans run in 6-week blocks, and week 6 is a deload week.

The lifting tools are free: plate and warm-up calculators, long-range strength charts with your PRs marked, CSV export of every set, and an import of your history from Hevy or Strong.

The game on top

Your workout is a dungeon map with one boss per exercise. Each set you log is an attack, and when your sets are done the boss falls. You pick a hero class that matches your goal (Warrior, Berserker, Ranger or Adventurer), earn XP for every set, and keep a weekly streak. You can lift with friends in live co-op parties of up to 4, fight pound-for-pound duels, and opt in to the Hall of Lifters leaderboard. Prefer plain numbers? Logging Mode turns the game off and keeps the same plan and progression.

Free and Menos Full

Logging, plans, progression, full history, Stats, co-op parties, duels, the Hall of Lifters and the lifting tools are free forever. Menos Full is an optional subscription for the extras: goal bosses, cosmetics and a gold name, all four heroes, the rest timer on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, logging from Apple Watch, saving workouts to Apple Health, and hosting guilds, tournaments and 8-player parties. Paying never makes your hero stronger. Accounts made before Menos Full launched, and anyone who paid for the old Menos Pro, are Founders and get Menos Full free forever.
